Excursions and Events

We are running a full programme of excursion day trips for CTS members from April to September each year. These days out are designed to support those who experience loneliness and isolation by being unable to leave their homes due to access to suitable accessible transport.

Members can book on to our day trips which include a visit to a garden centre for lunch and shopping, a visit to local gardens with afternoon tea or a day at the seaside, or a pub lunch. Our members are picked up at home, any mobility or health issues are taken into consideration, and we can also provide a travel buddy volunteer if required.

Our members can bring their own carer on the excursion if they wish– they will travel free. Fully qualified staff escort passengers to provide extra assistance and support.

Bookings can be paid for in advance to save handling of cash on the trip.

After a day out on our adventures, our members are delivered safely home – often with their purchases brought to their door.
